Trip Cover Not Used By Around One In Four

Data provided by Sainsburys Bank shows that around 25 percent of holidaymakers from the UK are not buying travel insurance this summer.

It is the older travellers, those aged between 55 and 64 who have proved the worst offenders, with just short of a third of them not getting travel insurance, something that no-one should go on a journey without. The younger age group are the ones leading the way according to Sainsburys Bank, with 79 percent of those aged between 16 and 24 getting travel insurance.

It is not affordability that seems to be the issue here said a Sainsburys Bank spokesman, since the most common reason for not buying travel insurance is simply that it is not needed, this coming from over 30 percent of people.
