It might be a good idea before deciding on which pension plan to go for to check out the fund manager first. It’s always wise to see who is going to be investing your money as they are the ones who will make your pension pot grow.
You can see how long the fund manager has been managing funds, their experience and their performance to date. This is of course no guarantee that your pension fund or investment will perform the same, but it is a good indication.
The performance of the investment funds is the most important metric when analysing the fund manager. Look at their performance year by year, as some experienced fund managers lost investments during the financial crisis in 2008.
