Be more energy efficient by not overfilling the kettle.

Tip created over a year ago.

Another great energy saving tip and one that all households should consider is to not to overfill the kettle when making a brew.

Many of us will always tend to fill the kettle full when making a cup of tea or coffee. This is just a waste of energy and electricity. You should only try and boil the amount of water you need for a cup. So try and estimate the amount of water need for boiling.

So long as the element is covered within the kettle there should be no problem.

Try using this method at home and see if it helps in your quest to save money on your electricity bills.

Make the effort and you can save more energy.
