AA Insurance See Premiums Holding Steady

After 12 months of steady rises the word from AA Insurance, who have been tracking the figures, is that insurance premiums are static at the moment.
The AA Insurance index showed that the average car insurance premium actually fell, albeit by only GBP3, compared with the end of last year. The typical car insurance premium is now just over GBP680. Home insurance saw a similar situation, this time dropping by GBP4. Buildings insurance was unchanged compared with late 2007 whilst contents insurance was up by just 1 percent.
Looking at a rolling 12 month period AA Insurance found car insurance premiums are up by around 6 percent, and it is felt that, as the year goes on then the overall result will still show increases in this market.
